A camera is essential for effective behavioural monitoring and analysis of animal research models. Our Maze Engineers camera packages are created to suit every need and requirement with varying specifications and include all necessary software, cables, and lenses for a “plug-in-and-play” experience.

Our camera models are designed to function with our manual and automated apparatus and easily attach to our camera mounts. These camera packages are compatible with video tracking software packages. Video tracking software not included.

Apparatus and Equipment

Our cameras are small in size and lightweight for ease of placement but pack plenty of powerful specifications and features.

Our standard package camera is designed for location, speed, path tracking and similar behaviors and is ideal for our manual products such as the Open Field, Y Maze, and Barnes Maze and activity products.

Our HD package comprises a camera with a greater resolution and small pixel size and can be used to track similar parameters as our standard package with extra detail for finer behaviors. This package is ideal for manual and automated products such as the Fear Conditioning Chamber and Operant packages.

Our advanced package has a camera with our smallest pixel size and greatest resolution and can be used to track fine and social behaviors such as grooming, burrowing, social interactions and more. Great for social apparatus, activity cages, and vivariums such as home cages.

Rodent location can be tracked using a video tracking software package such as Noldus EthoVision, ANY-Maze, or BehaviorCloud.
